The short version: we collect what's needed to get a tyre fitter to you, we never sell your data, precise location is used only around a live job, and you can delete your account (and its data) inside the app at any time.
Who we are
TyreGo ("we") is a UK marketplace connecting drivers with independent mobile tyre fitters. GAJO Creative Ltd is the data controller for the TyreGo and TyreGo Fitter apps.
What we collect and why
- Account details — name, email, and (for fitters) business, insurance and vehicle details, used to run your account and, for fitters, to vet and badge providers.
- Location — drivers: your position when you raise an SOS or place a booking, so fitters can be matched and safety rules applied (e.g. motorway refusal). Fitters: your base location while registered, and your live position only while en route to or at a job you accepted — live sharing stops automatically the moment the job closes and the tracking record is deleted.
- Vehicle data — registration plates you enter are looked up with Vehicle Data Global Ltd to fetch tyre sizes, vehicle details and MOT dates for your garage.
- Payments — processed by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers; we keep job amounts and payment status.
- Job records — quotes, messages between driver and fitter, tread readings and job photos, kept as the service record of each job.
- Family/group data — if you join a group, its members can see your live rescues (while they happen), your garage vehicles, and can be alerted when you raise an SOS. Joining is by invite code and you can leave at any time.
Who processes data for us
Supabase (database & authentication), Stripe (payments), Expo (push notifications), Resend (transactional email), Vehicle Data Global (vehicle lookups), Apple/Google (app distribution & notifications). Each processes data only on our instructions.
Retention & your rights
Account data is kept while your account exists. Deleting your account in the app (Account → Delete my account) removes your personal data; job records the other party is entitled to (e.g. a fitter's earnings history) are retained with your identity removed. Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion or portability of your data, and you can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
What we don't do
No selling or renting of personal data. No advertising trackers. No background tracking of drivers, ever; fitter live-location runs only during their own active jobs.
